CHALLENGE

The client was struggling to effectively leverage digital products and operations with agility and innovation while maintaining coherence across multiple brands, channels, and business models. They faced a demanding environment characterized by:

  • A fragmented landscape of IT solutions, services, and suppliers.
  • Business units operating independently with their own initiatives, programs, and projects.
  • A need for a unique combination of consulting expertise and customer-centricity.
  • A high demand for personalized services.
  • Persistent cost pressures.
SOLUTION

The opportunity was to establish a program with the primary goal to consolidate and expand the reach of global products and solutions, optimize operations, and consistently deliver value. Its foundation was envisioned to be a robust, scalable, and extensible ecosystem of Digital Core Applications, including Global PIM/PCM, Global DAM, and B2B & B2C eCommerce platforms. These applications would align with industry best practices and leverage built-in capabilities of mainstream solutions.

In 2016, the client partnered with jpard, a jnnovate group company, to launch its first Global Product Information Management (PIM) system for one business unit. The Global PIM solution, built with mainstream technology and best practices, became a central hub for product information and content, unifying operations, improving data governance, and supporting growth, including acquisitions.

A short timeline of our continued collaboration:

  • 2016: The first Global PIM system launched for one business unit.
  • 2017: PIM rolled out to the second business unit.
  • 2018: Final business unit adopted PIM; streamlined eCommerce operations with SAP Commerce Cloud; content management and analytics services initiated.
  • 2019: Shopify piloted for direct-to-consumer (D2C) with a mixed greenfield approach.
  • 2020: Global PIM used for rolling out most of the brands in local markets.
  • 2022-2023: Global B2B & B2C rollouts for a strategic future-proof Commerce initiative.
  • 2024: Customer insights expertise and AI/ML-driven automation were introduced.

Each year, we expanded our role, delivering innovative solutions in eCommerce, Digital Marketing, and beyond, driving the client's digital transformation.
